Our Story

Therapy Management, Inc. is a privately owned, Michigan based company founded by Dan Diamond in 2006. Dan started his career as an occupational therapist, and has gone on to found numerous healthcare companies.

We have offices in Plymouth, Michigan (which you should make a point to visit because it is one of the cutest towns in the Midwest) and Bay City, Michigan (which is also an adorable town and one of the largest port cities on Lake Huron). Our company provides services to skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities across Michigan.

The team at Therapy Management has over 80 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare staffing, rehabilitation facility management, and home health care management. Our leadership team is comprised of the following experts:

Kim Murphy, OTR, President

Kim Murphy has been in leadership positions for over 30 years starting with a director role at Mercy Memorial Hospital. While there, she developed the program for the newly acquired skilled nursing home at the same time that major reimbursement changes were being implemented by CMS.  With a history of clinical focus on geriatric population and special certification in management of adult neurological deficits, Kim transitioned her career to managing skilled nursing programs as an Area Manager or Quality Assurance Specialist with three national contract rehab organizations.  Kim joined Therapy Management, Inc. as President in 2008 where she has excelled in development and maintenance of relationships with customers while that have resulted in yearly growth of the organization.

Dennis Jakubik, MA, CCC-SLP, Vice President

Dennis Jakubik, MA, CCC-SLP graduated from Wayne State University with a masters degree in communication disorders and sciences in 1987.  As a result of his strong leadership skills in combination with his strength as a clinician he quickly moved into role as a Regional Director and managed contract rehab services in skilled nursing facilities.  His career continued to develop as he obtained Regional leadership positions with four national contract therapy companies.  Dennis joined Therapy Management, Inc. in 2008 where he applied his strong education skills and exceptional understanding of Medicare reimbursement including MDS (Minimum Data Set) to positively impact the customer programming.  As Vice President his roles and responsibilities include day to day operations, staff recruitment/retention and utilizing his talent of assessing customer programs to increase their understanding of overall operations.

Dan Diamond, OTR, Founder & Chair

Dan has started and grown many companies serving the healthcare industry since 2001. He understands the needs of both healthcare clients and medical professionals, which serves TMI well as the company expands. Dan lives in Park City, Utah, and is a loving dad to triplets! When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Dan on the ski slopes and mountain bike trails of Michigan and Utah. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
